Ayanpuram Nadar Uravinmurai Nandhavana Development Committee was initiated by the members from Tamilnadu's southern districts such as Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Virudhunagar and the villages around Kovilpatti led and preceeded by C. Rajan Nadar and C.P. Chellaiah Nadar with sixteen other merchants' serious guidance in 1950 who came to Ayanpuram, Chennai to start business.
The committee was initially started with only 51 members including Eighteen Merchants and Thirty Three personnel of their shops. Ayanpuram Nadar Uravinmurai Nandhavana Development Committee was reconstituted as Ayanpuram Nadar Uravinmurai Sangam after three months. Sangam's governing body consisted of delegates as follows: D. Dhanushkodi Nadar was the President; S. Rajan Nadar was the General Secretary; V.P.M. Kaniyappa Nadar was the Treasurer; S.V. Arunachala Nadar was the Vice President; 18 Merchants were the Executive Members; and 33 personnel were the General Council Members. It was our Sangam's first Governing Body.

The above stated Ayanpuram Nadar Uravinmurai Sangam acts efficaciously with 263 members now.
To discharge Sangam's primitive aim to establish a Nandhavanam, it bought three and a half ground land with the member’s subscriptions and with seniors' charity/donation of around 4441 rupees on 19.09.1951. Sangam members with their studious efforts and philanthropists' donation dug a Great Well, Nandhavanam in Ayanpuram.
Sangam's building was inaugurated by P.R.Muthusamy, General Secretary of Madurai Nadar Mahajana Sangam and led by V.V. Ramasamy Nadar M.L.C from Virudhunagar. Sangam's Annual Day celebration was effectively led by K.P.S.V.R. Gurusamy Nadar B.A., During that period our communal senior W.P.A. Soundarapandian born in Pattiveeranpatti was a progressive thinker who devoted entirely his life for the welfare of the people and served considerable good deeds to education passed away. So, on 22 February 1953 a condolence meeting was held to commemorate W. P. A. Soundarapandian's first death anniversary preceeded by the President D.Dhanushkodi Nadar. Then S.P. Chellaiah Nadar General Secretary of Sangam with the members paid tribute to our communal senior on 22.02.1957 in the 5th Memorial Day.
In that meeting one of our Sangam members S. T. M. Seenivasagam had delivered a remarkable speech appreciating the services of W. P. A. Soundarapandian. He humbly beseeched his request to commence a school named in memory of him and donated 11 rupees as his share for the same. Promptly V. C. Mariyappa Nadar as Chairman, Sangam formed a 13 members group. 51 rupees had been collected from the members and established an Educational Financial Account betimes.
About one and a half year S.Rajan Nadar had endeavored assiduous efforts to get permission from the government of Tamilnadu to start a school on 05.08.1958. The school was owned by Ayanpuram Nadar Uravinmurai Sangam and named after our great senior W. P. A. Soundarapandian Elementary School. The opening ceremony held on 17.08.1958.
